All our potatoes are farmed locally they are rumbled and chipped fresh daily, all our fishcakes and scallops are homemade each morning on site.

Our peas are soaked overnight and cooked fresh each morning so we can give our customers old fashioned real mushy peas.

All our fish is prepared daily which is skinned and boned and we only use the best quality fillets available.

We only use the best Maris Pipers available. Our chips are nice and crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside these are chipped larger to create a healthier product for our customers.

All our fish is sourced from sustainable managed fishing grounds. Our Haddock is mainly line caught which is a premium fish, it is all skinned and boned on the premises.

Our Cod is sourced from sustainable seas in Iceland and also filleted on site. We also sell Plaice as an alternative.

Our fish is succulent, meaty and pure white fillets cooked in a light homemade crispy batter that melts in your mouth.

Fish Guide

We realise, that with fish playing such an important role in so many people’s lives, it is imperative that the world’s oceans are
managed correctly to ensure the survival of marine life and the human life it sustains.

 As consumers become more aware of environmental issues, we are stocking alternative varieties of fish and taking responsibility for ensuring a sustainable
future for the industry.

The MSC certifier confirmed stock “to be consistently maintained at levels above the precautionary limits”,meaning more than enough fish are left in the ocean for the
species to spawn a healthy generation the following year, and resulting in a clear conscience for the consumer.
Haddock is a cold-temperate migratory fish, found in inshore shallow waters in summer
and in deep water in winter. Smaller than
cod, it can attain a length of 70-100cms and
can live for more than 20 years.

are at healthy and sustainable levels and are being fished sustainably. To help reduce the impact of fishing on fish stocks which are depleted the fishing industry is changing to
line-caught fish, where available, which is a better alternative.
Cod is a cold-temperate bottom-dwelling species.  Cod spawn in winter and spring from February to April. In the North Sea, cod mature at 4-5 years at a length of about 50cms and can live up to 60 years.

Our cod is from Area 27, which is a large designated quota area where measures have been taken to ensure the cod here have a sustainable future. To help reduce the impact of fishing on fish stocks where fishing mortality is high the industry are starting to choose line-caught methods.
